I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.

I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.

We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.

I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.

I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.

I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.

I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.

I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.

I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I did not have to always deal with society hating me.

I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.

I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.

I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.

     To begin this bluntly Prohibition does not work, the weed market in this country is insanely elaborate, and nothing the government has done has even put a dent into it. In 2008 alone 1.8 billion dollars of tax payers money was spent on investigation, arrest and  Incarceration, and that is for only people who were using, not dealing not trafficking just using. Now the state of California received 28 point something BILLION in tax on THC products imagine if every state could do that, think of all the growing jobs and regulation jobs, give jobs and pull us out of dept! Now how do you feel that your money is going to a War that is getting more expensive every DAY,   so lets look at it the other way, the officials opposing   the legalization of Marijuana say: it will be abused, people lives will be lost to it, it has just as many Chemicals when u smoke weed   as when u smoke cigarettes, and many other excesses.
     Well i will not lie  i smoked for a month straight (I call that abuse) and i just gained 5 pounds, Abuse of Cigarettes  leads to cancer   abuse of Alcohol leads many different ends  all painful all preventable. Your right  people might get lost in weed MIGHT  if you have a addictive personality or any version of dependancy issues then yeas just like alcohol you can get lost in it  but THC can not kill you if you ingest enough u will just either pass out or eat everything in your house. Yes, you do inhale just as many chems as in cigarettes, BUT  if it is legalized it will lead to more types of healthy ingestion like baked goods  and teas.

     Over the period of the last couple of weeks i have have become a little political in my views on Cannabis, i belive that it should be legalized to the point of everyone using it but for now i will settle with a simple medical usage of it. I have witnessed with my eyes people who can use it for medical uses have you ever seen a man with Parkinson's, i have and i wanted to do anything i can for him but he smoked cannabis to help the muscle spasms and the help stimulate his hunger which was decreased which was do to the medication he took. Another medical user was a cancer patient, she has spinal cancer STILL for 4 years since 14 she has been smoking pot to help with the pain from the cancer and the pain from the chemo, it helps her eat and keep optimistic and i dont think many people out there have been told "We think you have close to 3 more years to live." and can keep optimistic about it, cannabis can help you with it.
     Another point that i have is the fact that Cannabis Hemp is one of the versatile plants on this earth, it can make over 50,000 items that can benefit humanity, here are some examples: Hemp soaps including but not limited to; dishwasher soap, shampoo, bar body soap, body wash, fabric detergent, cat and dog shampoos and conditioners and hand soap. it can also make clothes and not just hemp necklaces but, shirts, pants, shorts, gloves, laces, and now the blue hemp denim. It can also make wood for houses and boats, plus composites for plates and bowls, then you can make it into flame resistant insulation for houses.
     For those artists who use paints and oil pastels there are hemp versions of those as well there are even hemp pencels and hemp paper/canvases. Even non-psychotropic food recipes you can make. There are thousands of uses of a single plant a plant that is easily grown almost anywhere in the world. Another use is the fact that you can make car fuel out of it.
     Most of all i have talked to three police officers who believe that they are enforcing a law they do not believe in, 2 patrolmen and i detective and not just a detective but a narcotics detective.
     Lastly i say we need this to help our country to help us pull our asses out of this dilemma, if it does get legalized we will be able to use it for the most important use ever: to help pull us out of recession!!!!!!!
     SO IN THE END I ASK EVERY ARTIST TO PICK UP THEIR TOOL OF THE TRADE AND MAKE A PEICE DEPICTING YOUR VIEW ON THIS IMPORTANT MATTER, PLEASE DO YOUR PART AND SUPPORT THIS CAUSE, SEND ME ALL THE PEICES AND I WILL BE SURE TO MAKE A JOURNAL TO THESE PIONEERS OF CANNABIS, THE PAVERS THAT WILL LAY THE ROAD OF LEGALIZATION, TODAY IS THE DAY TODAY IS THE DAY OF OUR RECKONING WE ARE THE BEGINNING OF OUR END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
